Women Destined For Greatness Outreach, Inc.

Thank you for responding. I sincerely appreciate it and love the dialogue. The first thing that I do when talking with women who may be in a situation like this is to take the approach of dealing with her from the inside out. In other words. I talk with her about her hopes and dreams. I talk a lot about her and my sheer focus is on building her up from the inside out. I walk these sisters through their dilemmas because this is what so many of them need in the beginning. I allow them for a period of time to lean on me so to speak and I put together various exercises for them to do which are designed to increase their self-esteem and self-worth. For I realize that this is foundational and very crucial to them being able to permanently move on. The proper groundwork must be laid. Some of these women never knew the things that they discover in other words somethings believe it or not they've never been taught. When you begin to discuss such things as values, standards, priorities and boundaries many are at a lost for words. Many are just doing what they always saw in the significant women in their lives unfortunately. They really never had any clue that you don't get involved with married men, unavailable men. So you can say that through God using me to bless their lives, a metamorphis takes place. My approach is to build from the inside out and as these women do the work they begin to evolve into the women they really were created to be, fearfully and wonderfully. Greetings sister Renee. I pray that ALL is well with you. Im glad that u posted this blog. So many of us can and will relate from reading your blog. I am also a single mother of 3 boys and I must say as children they absorb everything. All children do. I wrote a monologue in 2005 for our girls leadership program. It was a message from a young gorl to all of the women in her life. The message behind the monologue was for women to be careful with the way that they treat themselves and how they allow their men to treat them because the children are watching you. And they learn about relationships and life by waching us. If our relationships are not health theres wi not be. There was a drug commercial in the 80's where the child started doing drugs and the parent was like where did you get this... the little boy screamed I learned it by watching you, and his voice echoed with those words until the commercial went off. Til this day those words echo. They learn by watching us. The lessons that we teach our children are what they take with them through life. So yes we must check ourselves from time time.
Ms. D sent me an email yesterday and it read "A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ, that a man should have to seek Him first to find her." That is a very powerful and true quote.
I learned about not sharing core values years ago. I was dating a man who I'd known for 10 years and I had no idea that the things that were most important to me were jibberish to him. As much as I talked about God and my beliefs, and then found out 10 years later that he didnt even believe in God. Although we'd only dated for 2 years still i feelt like i should have known. If I had listened more and talked less. He taught me something though. He taught me how to listen to that "still small voice" because it was their all along telling me what it really was and i went against that. Im still learning though. I was still. I prayed and healed. My Man I am with now, brought me closer to God. isnt that something? And til this day I see God in him. Our love is Divinely inspired. Because I was obedient to my father he sent me some one who is right for my mind, body, soul, spirit and my children!!!
Yesterday we had an online womens conference on yahoo, and the topic was supposed to be boundaries. We didnt get to it though because everyone was meeting for the first time and we ended up chatting about other things and ideas but next week we will definitely stick to the subject,lol. We meet online 1-2 per week. and its a great place to chat with other women over cyber tea ;) I'm going to send you an invite.
